Abstract:
The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the knowledge of joint resource management of Ban Kongprasai, Pakam Sub District, Pakam District, Buriram Province, and 2) to search for a form of Common-Pool Resources model to develop as a learning center of Ban Kongprasai, Pakam Sub District, Pakam District, Buriram Province. The data were collected through In-depth interview, group discussion, survey walking, and participatory observation. The study revealed that the knowledge of joint resource management of Ban Kongprasai consisted of: 1) The body of knowledge within the community included the community leader, mixed agricultural wisdom, unity, training, study visit, etc. and 2) External knowledge came from govern-ment policy, support from government agencies, trend of promoting sufficiency economy phi-losophy, etc. Ban Kongprasai community is one of the communities that has jointly developed a public area of 15 rai as a shared resource to become a community learning resource for as water management, integrated farming, Bio-organic fertilizer, planting vetiver grass, etc. At present, the community is registered as a community enterprise under the Pakam Sub District Farmer Group. It is one of the communities that has employed the power of learning until resulting in a concrete change.
