Abstract:
This thesis aimed to investigate and compare performancelevel as a whole and in each aspect of teacher librarians working inindifferent-sized primary schools under the Office of Roi Et ProvincialPrimary Education. The sample consisted of teacher librarians in theprimary schools totalling 259 persons, selected through the stratifiedrandom sampling technique. The instrument used for collecting datawas a researcher-constructed rating scale questionnaire with 65 items.The item-total correlation values were ranging from 0.31 to 0.79 andthe reliability value was 0.91. The collected data were analyzed bythe use of percentage, mean, standard deviation and one-way analysisof variance.The findings were as follows:1. The performance Level of teacher librarians in theprimary schools under the Office of Roi Et ProvinciaI Primary Educationboth as a whole and in each aspect were found at a medium Level, in whichthe library management had the highest mean, followed by activities andservice and the technical aspect. When school sized were considered,these findings were found:1.1 The teacher librarians working in the small-sized schoolshad performances as whole and in each aspect were at a medium level, inwhich the activities and service had the highest mean, followed by thelibrary management and the technical aspect.1.2 The teacher librarians working in the medium-sized schoolshad performances as a whole and in each aspect were at medium level, inwhich the library management had the highest mean, followed by thetechnical aspect and the activities and service.1.3 The teacher librarians working in the large-sized schoolshad performances as a whole and in each aspect were at a medium level,in which the library management had the highest mean, followed by theactivities and service and the technical aspect.2. Teacher librarians working in different-sized schools showedperformances level as a whole and all 3 aspects differently at the .05level of significance, in which the teacher Librarians working in thesmall-sized schools and the large-sized schools indicated higherperformances than did the teacher librarians working in the medium-sized schools.
