Abstract:
This research aimed to study the level of 12 core values of Grade 9 students, to confirm the 12 core values model for Grade 9 students and to examine the invariance of the 12 core values model between male and female Grade 9 students. The study sample comprised 480 Grade 9 students by multi-stage sampling. The tools used in this research were 12 core values questionnaire with 5-rating scale. The statistics include the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, confirmatory factor Analysis and Multi-Group Analysis. The results were as follows : Firstly, the overview that Grade 9 students have high levels of 12 core values. The mean of 12 core values are between 3.82 and 4.23, with the highest average of Be grateful to parents, guardians and teachers (x̄ = 4.23 , S.D. = 0.61). The second is disciplined, obey the laws and pay respect to elderly people (x̄ = 4.21, S.D. = 0.61) and Learn and understand the democracy headed under HM the King properly (x̄ = 4.12 , S.D.=0.61). Secondly, 12 core values model of Grade 9 students was fit with the empirical data (X² = 46.09, df=36, p=0.12, X²/df=1.28, RMSEA = 0.02, RMR = 0.01, GFI = 0.98, AGFI = 0.97, CFI = 1.00). and finally, There was invariance of 12 core values model of Grade 9 students according to different groups of male and female students.
