Abstract:
The objective of this research is 1) To develop the process to transform the natural fibers from Typha leaves. 2) To test the properties of syntheticfiber sheets from Typha leaves. 3) To design products from syntheticfiber sheets of Typha leaves. 4) To evaluate consumers satisfaction with products from syntheticfiber sheets of Typha Leaves, to collect data from sample group used in the research, at the rural development community group of Khlong Song Tonnun Subdistrict, Lat Krabang District, Bangkok. To development of fibers transformation process found that the best extraction of fiber with chemical sodium hydroxide at 60 minutes. The results of the strength test of Typha fiber With a pull force is 3.05 Newton. The research found that synthetic fiber sheet forming with Innovative Nonwoven Solutions by using Typha fibers mixed with Polyester fiber And polyester low melt fiber, the strength the Machine Direction, the tensile strength is 150.25 kN and Elongation is 97.87 percent, In the Cross Machine Direction the tensile strength is 164.56 kN and Elongation is 98.83 percent. Can be applied in products such as wallets, document bags, shoulder bags and backpack. Satisfaction of products from syntheticfiber sheets of Typha leaves, at a high level (x̄ = 3.88, S.D.= 0.36)
