Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study the roles of personnel in organizational health promotion in Chonburi Cancer Hospital, and to study guidelines for health organization promotion
in Chonburi Cancer Hospital by using qualitative research methods. The data collection was done
by in-depth interviews with 15 personnel from Chonburi Cancer Hospital and using focus group discussions with the executives in Chonburi Cancer Hospital. Group leader related, amount 8 persons, data were analyzed by using content analysis methods, interpretation form and summarize important information by writing in a descriptive way.
The results of the research were;
1. The roles of personnel in health organization promotion in Chonburi Cancer Hospital composed of two important components; 1) the role to oneself consisted of making oneself happy physically, being healthy, knowing how to relax and be flexible in living, know to save and to spend, and not being in debt by living sufficiently and creating happiness from having a good family by creating good relationships with each other. 2) The roles to the organization consisted of generosity, helping each other, supporting each other in work learning and development of professions, skills and experience. Having religion and morals according to professional ethics and having love and unity among people in society, having love, unity and harmony with one another in the organization.
2. The guidelines for health organization promotion in Chonburi Cancer Hospital can be summarized into 2 aspects: 1) organization management for organization health promotion and
2) personnel development for organizational health promotion which consisted of 4 missions including; administrative duties, academic services mission, academic and medical missions and health service support missions with executives being the leaders in the planning, policy setting in the operation and workers are important human resources in the promotion of organizational health.
