Abstract:
This research aimed to study the characteristics of the social learning organization of the special education center, and to study the guidelines for promoting social learning organizations
of Trat Special Education Center by using a qualitative research method, collecting data through
in-depth interviews with 15 personnel of the Special Education Center in Trat Province, as well as using focus group discussions with the administrators and teachers of Trat Special Education Center, parents' representatives, users of Trat Special Education Center, and representatives of relevant social organizations. The data were analyzed by means of content analysis, interpretation, and summarizing important information by descriptive writing. The results of the research were as follows:
1. The characteristics of the social learning organization of the Special Education Center
in Trat province had 5 important components. They were; 1) the learning dynamics of the people in the organization, namely the awareness, exchange of knowledge, adjustment, and the development of one's own knowledge on a regular basis, 2) the organizational change to adjust the organizational structure and strategy to suit the organizational culture, 3) empowering individuals in the organization by assigning jobs that suit each person, empowering job decisions and encouraging positive reinforcement, 4) knowledge management in an organization by the pursuit of knowledge, knowledge creation, and to store knowledge and transfer and used knowledge to be useful in developing into a learning organization for society and, 5) the application of technology in the organization was the use of technology for communication in the organization to publicize, disseminate knowledge, and for teaching and learning that were suitable for students with special needs.
2. Guidelines for promoting social learning organizations of the Special Education Center in Trat Province, summarize according to the roles and responsibilities of those involved, such as the role of teachers that must aware of self-development to be suitable for the organization of social learning,
the role of administrators in systematic organization of learning management and the role of relevant agencies to support social learning organizations
