Abstract:
This research aimed to study Surin silk identity for applying in jewelry design by starting with the
study of the history and pattern of silk which is the identity of Surin province. Next, the data was collected
from groups of relevant experts to design the ornaments and to assess the complacencies of the customers.
The samples used were 100 jewelry consumers in Bangkok gems & Jewelry fair by using accidental sampling
according to the research conceptual framework. Then, the data gained was brought for the result summary
in the form of quantitative data. Data collection instruments for this research included formal interviews,
evaluation forms, and questionnaires. The findings revealed that the ornament from Surin silk had the
satisfaction at a high level. The highest level of satisfaction was the beauty of the jewelry (X=4.07) and the
standard deviation was 0.87.
