Abstract:
This research is to study the problem space within the building of the School of Architecture in Bangkok University and guideline to provide the problems. The research is a descriptive research by using 3 methods: 1. The questionnaire 2. Interviews 3. Participate observation of researchers. The main target groups are students and teachers of the School of Architecture. Nowadays the buildings that was not designed from the needs of the students. We used this building with other people. The space for architecture students is located in the 3rd floor of the building. There are 9 rooms. From the survey and observation to problems based on the preliminary survey and observation, the problems of using the areas is not enough for the number of students in both course. So, this research is to study the problems of space utilization. Whether it is inside buildings, classrooms, or other parts of the building, to address issues directly from the user. And bring those problems to analysis to suggest a solution guidelines. The research found that students and teachers of the School of Architecture are using the building areas which caused the most problem are buildings, classrooms, furniture in classroom and facilities. Moreover study the problems in classroom behavior, technical problems, teaching equipment. Including the problem of the physical environment as well. Proposing solutions to problems from data collection. The researcher distributed the data from the data source to analyze the statistics and reason for the explanation from the target group to suggest solutions to problems. The researcher is divided into 2 levels: level of editing by Design and improvement and the level of editing with management. Finally, the results of this research need to be a guideline to solve the problem of using limited space for maximum benefit. It can be a way for people or institutions interested.
