Abstract:
The objective of this independent study is to study the opinions of the employees to the organizational commitment of GSB employees region 12. The data was collected through a questionnaire from 203 respondents of GSB employee region 12. The statistical analysis are means, standard deviation, correlation analysis, analysis of variance (t-test, F-test) including MANOVA analysis.
The statistical results show that most of the respondents are female (60.6%), 31-40 years of age (63.5%) and 5-10 years of working experience (47.8%) of respondents. The opinion of the respondents presented the means of organizational commitment high level at 4.02 (SD =.64). All components of organizational commitment are high particularly continuance commitment components is highest level at 4.09. The means different separated by gender, education, working position, income and working duration contributed no statistically significant different to organizational commitment at .05. This study demonstrates that the employee who shows continuance commitment because of working security and advance impacted on employee retention in organization.
