Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study the influence of gender and the dark triad personality trait among undergraduate students on emotional dominance of Thai text and picture activities, and to study interaction between gender and the dark triad personality on emotional dominance in undergraduate students. The sample comprised 120 undergraduate students of Burapha University in the academic year 2019. The research instruments were the Short Dark Triad measurement in Thai version (SD3-TH), Self-Assessment Manikin scale, emotion texts from the Affective Norms for Thai Words Bank System (Thai-ANT), and emotion pictures from Thai Affective Picture Bank System (Thai APBS). Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and a two-way analysis of variance. The results were as follows; 1. Gender differences were found to influence controlled emotional dominance perception in undergraduate students. 2. Dark triad personality was also found to influence controlled emotional dominance perception in undergraduate students. 3. Female undergraduate students with psychopathic personality had the lowest controlled emotional dominance perception
