Abstract:
The purposes of this research are to study guidelines for improvements on the webbased online ordering system process in an industrial sector in Rayong of the ABC Co., Ltd. as well as to study the problems and obstacles in the process of ordering through the web-based online ordering system. The results of the study are used to provide guidelines to improve the process of web-based online ordering system of ABC Co., Ltd. in an industrial estate in Rayong. This is a qualitative research study where in-depth interviews through a focus group method were employed. The results show that the personnel involved product purchasing in the web-based online ordering system process was mostly those who obtained a Bachelors Degree. The customers of the ABC Co., Ltd. in the industrial estate in Rayong province were 12 customers comprising those who have used the web-based online ordering system and those who did not use the system or stopped using the web-based online order system of ABC Co., Ltd. The results of areas for improvement over the web-based online ordering system process of the ABC Co., Ltd. are as follows: developing the ABCs web-based online ordering system to be compatible with management systems such as warehouse systems, financial systems, order management, and developing a mobile supported ordering system to be accessible from mobile phones, developing more channels of instant communication, developing the web-based online ordering system, thus making the customer registration easy and hassle-free, developing a connection to the customer order system and analyzing sales data, demand on goods as well as customer behavior, providing the customers with a transportation management system with track and trace, improving information technology, such as increasing Internet speed
