Abstract:
The aims of this study were 1) to compare factors affecting on consumer purchasing tendency of the
energy efficient feature residents in Chonburi which classified by gender, age, status, education level, occupation
and personal income 2) to study psychological factors affecting on consumer purchasing tendency of the energy
efficient feature residents in Chonburi 3) to study marketing factors affecting on consumer purchasing tendency of
the energy efficient feature residents in Chonburi and 4) to study energy saving technology factor affecting on
consumer purchasing tendency of the energy efficient feature residents in Chonburi, by using mixed method
research, which conducted quantitative research methodology used of questionnaires to collected the data from 400
samples who expected to buying residential properties with energy efficient feature within the period 1-5 year and
sample who bought residential properties with energy efficient feature. The statistics for data analysis were
frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test,F-test or One Way Analysis of Variance and
Multiple Liner Regression Analysis. For qualitative research methodology used in the study consisted of in-depth
interview conducted with 4 real estate business entrepreneurs in Chonburi in order to study trends and risks of
investment in building residential properties with energy efficient feature of entrepreneur in Chonburi.
The results showed that the tendency of buying residential properties with energy efficient feature of
consumer in Chonburi with difference education level and personal income that the consumers ever to consider
buying residential properties with energy efficient feature has different in the future at 0.05 statistical significance
level. The psychological factors: motivation of the product factors has affecting on the tendency of buying
residential properties with energy efficient feature of consumer in Chonburi. The marketing factors: application of
structural design to product for energy saving and the using of special construction materials with product has
affecting on the tendency of buying residential properties with energy efficient feature of consumer in Chonburi.
And the energy saving technology factor: energy-saving building materials has affecting on the tendency of buying
residential properties with energy efficient feature of consumer in Chonburi at 0.05 statistical significance level.
The interview with real estate business entrepreneurs in Chonburi found that all entrepreneurs point of view feel
no risk of investment in building residential properties with energy efficient feature. Still the risk might occur if
residential prices is increasing then will effect on consumer purchasing power. Moreover, the samples of
entrepreneurs have an idea to build residential properties with energy efficient feature since during this time, most
people are interested and giving importance to energy saving, environmental friendliness and the consumer
recognizes the importance as well. Therefore, it is a mutual benefit.
