Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to explore the influences of personal factors and innovation and technology factors towards Internet of Things (IoT) concerning Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) smart home. This study used 260 samples from those who had knowledge about the usage of IoT or who used to use or intended to use IoT concerning (PEA) smart home. Statistics used to analyze data were descriptive statistics including percentage, frequency, means and standard deviation; and inferential statistics including Independent Samples t-test, One-Way ANOVA, Least Significant Difference, and Multiple Linear Regression at the statistical significant alpha 0.05.
The research results were found that most of the respondents were female, older than 35 years old, Bachelors degree, employed in private companies and has an average monthly income higher than 25,000 baht. The usage of IoT in the (PEA) smart home concerning electronics control system, solar cells energy system, and security alert system that linked to (PEA) Hive Platform were in the high level of importance. The innovation and technology acceptance in the aspect of usefulness and ease of use were also in the high level of importance.
The hypothesis testing results were found that educational level had an effect on the aspect of electronics control system and the security alert system. The average monthly income had effect on the aspect of electronics control system. The acceptance of innovation and technology in the aspect of ease of use influenced the usage of IoT concerning (PEA) smart home.
