Abstract: วิทยานิพนธ์นี้ มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาระบบสนับสนุนการตัดสินใจเลือกวิธีการทางสถิติ โดยจัดแบ่งระบบตามกลุ่มผู้ใช้ออกเป็น 2 ระดับคือ ระดับที่ 1 สำหรับกลุ่มผู้ใช้ที่มีวัตถุประสงค์ของงานวิจัยแล้ว แต่ยังไม่ได้กำหนดประเภทของการวิเคราะห์ทางสถิติ การพัฒนาระบบในระดับนี้ ใช้วัตถุประสงค์ของงานวิจัยเป็นเกณฑ์กำหนดทางเลือกประเภทของการวิเคราะห์ทางสถิติ ระดับที่ 2 สำหรับกลุ่มผู้ใช้ที่กำหนดประเภทของการวิเคราะห์ทางสถิติแล้ว แต่ยังไม่ได้กำหนดวิธีการวิเคราะห์ทางสถิติ การพัฒนาระบบในระดับนี้ ใช้แนวคิดเงี่อนไข ทฤษฎีและข้อกำหนดต่างๆ ของวิธีการทางสถิติเป็นเกณฑ์ในการกำหนดทางเลือกวิธีการวิเคราะห์ทางสถิติสำหรับวิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ได้พัฒนาระบบในด้านทดสอบสมมติฐาน ซึ่งประกอบด้วยหัวข้อการทดสอบคุณลักษณะประชากร ทดสอบรูปแบบของประชากร และการทดสอบความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวแปร ระบบที่พัฒนาขึ้นนี้เป็นระบบที่พัฒนาเพื่อมุ่งที่จะช่วยผู้ใช้ตัดสินใจเลือกวิธีการวิเคราะห์ทางสถิติให้เหมาะสมกับงานวิจัย ไม่ใช่ระบบที่พัฒนาเพื่อการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ระบบนี้เป็นประโยชน์ต่อผู้ใช้ โดยกลุ่มผู้ใช้ที่มีความรู้ทางสถิติน้อย จะได้รับประโยชน์ในการเลือกใช้วิธีการทางสถิติ แต่อาจจะต้องศึกษาในวิธีการนั้นเพิ่มเติม ส่วนกลุ่มผู้ใช้ที่มีความรู้ทางสถิติอยู่แล้วจะได้ประโยชน์ในการใช้ระบบเป็นเครื่องมือ เพื่อย้ำให้เกิดความมั่นใจในการเลือกใช้วิธีการทางสถิติที่ได้คาดการณ์ไว้ ระบบนี้พัฒนาโดยใช้โปรแกรมภาษาเทอร์โบปาสคาลรุ่น 6.0 ในการนำเสนอเนื้อหาตัวอย่างที่ได้ออกแบบไว้แต่ละจอภาพ และเชื่อมโยงแต่ละหน้าจอให้ดำเนินไปอย่างต่อเนื่องซึ่งระบบนี้สามารถใช้ได้กับเครื่องไมโครคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ใช้จอภาพชนิดจอสี

Abstract: The objective of this thesis is to develop a decision support system for statistical method selection in accordance with researcher or user’s need. The users are classified into two levels. Level I. Users having the research problem and objectives who need to select types of statistical analysis. The system will guide the users to make decision for selecting type of statistical analysis under the guidance of research objectives. Level II. Users who already know the type of statistical analysis but need to select the statistical method. This system is limited to problems of hypothesis testing, comprising of testing of population parameters, distributions and relationship among variables. The developed system is a decision support system for selection of appropriate statistical method of research, but not for analyzing data. This system is advantageous for users with less statistical knowledge in selecting statistical method. However this group of users will have to learn more about the methods. For users with more advanced statistical knowledge, the advantage of using this system is to use as a tool for assuring the appropriateness of the tentatively selected statistical method. This system was developed using TURBO PASCAL 6.0 and must be used only on microcomputer with VGA color monitor.
