Abstract:
ABSTRACT
This research aimed to: 1) compare the problem-solving ability before and after learning by using psychomotor skill learning management with the problem-solving process and jigsaw technique in culinary arts for eleventh-grade (Mathayomsuksa 5) students; and 2)compare the problem-solving practice after learning by using psychomotor skill learning management with problem-solving process and jigsaw technique in culinary arts for eleventh-grade students with the set criteria. The research sample consisted of 18 eleventh-grade students at Rachineeburana School, Mueang District of Nakhon Pathom Province, derived by simple random sampling. The research instruments were: 1) The three lesson plans of culinary arts that used psychomotor skill learning management with the problem-solving process and jigsaw technique for eleventh-grade students, totaling 24 hours, included Unit 4 Boiling, Unit 5 Frying, and Unit 6 Deep Frying. The content validity of the lesson plan was 0.67-1.00. 2) The ability test on problem-solving process was with 0.67-1.00 validity, 0.20-0.65 difficulty, 0.20-0.50 discrimination, and 0.74 reliability. 3) The problem-solving practice assessment form with 0.67-1.00 validity, 0.33-0.78 difficulty, 0.22-0.78 discrimination, and 0.78 reliability. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation and t-test.
The findings of this research were as follows:
1. The students ability in problem solving process after learning by using psychomotor skills learning management with problem-solving process and jigsaw technique in culinary arts was higher than that of before with statistical significance difference at .05 level.
2. The students problem-solving practice after learning by using psychomotor skill learning management with problem-solving process and jigsaw technique in culinary arts was higher than the set criteria of 80% with statistical significance difference at .05 level.
