Abstract:
This research was aimed to study the learning styles of Kasikorn Bank's officers and their opinions
about Learning Organization. This case study specially observed in the 'Retail Business Division'
where the grouping of observation was based on genders, ages, educational levels, working
experiences, and the sub-divisions they belonged. The sampling group consisted of 230 officers
from 15 sub-divisions from the 'Retail Business Division' of Kasikorn Bank. The tool used for data
collection was a questionnaire. The data were analyzed statistically using percentage, frequency,
mean, standard deviation, chi-square, t-test value and one-way analysis of variance. If there was a
difference, LSD (least significant difference) test would be used to make pairwise comparisons. The
research results were that:
(1) The learning style of the study group found mostly were divergers (52.6%). The other
types found were accomodators (25.2%), assimilators (14.8%) and convergers (7.4%).
(2) As for genders, ages, educational levels, status, working experiences and sub-divisions,
they showed no relationship with learning styles at the level of statistical significance of .05.
(3) A study of their personal mastery showed that it was at high level with average mean
score of 3.68. The mean scores were 3.74, 3.52, 3.45 and 3.59 for Mental Models, Shared Vision,
Team Learning and Systems Thinking, respectively.
(4) Learning Organization and personal factors of Kasikorn Bank's officers in the 'Retail
Business Division' were not different in terms of genders, educational levels, status and working
experiences with.
(5) Kasikorn Bank's officers in the 'Retail Business Division' with different age groups
showed different opinions about Learning Organization in the aspect of Shared Vision with the level
of statistical significance at .05.
(6) Kasikorn Bank's officers in the 'Retail Business Division' from different sub-divisions
showed different opinions about Learning Organization in the aspect of Personal Mastery, Mental
Models, Systems Thinking, and Learning Organization in overall with the level of statistical
significance at .05.
