FACTORS INFLUENCING THE ACHIEVEMENT OF GREEN HOSPITALS CAMPAIGN AMONG PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICERS IN 12TH REGIONAL HEALTH SERVICE CENTER, YALA PROVINCE, THAILAND
Abstract:
This research aimed to determine the factors related to the achievement of the
GREEN hospital campaign. This study employed random sampling technique to get 339 public
health officers who are responsible for the project of GREEN hospital campaign
in 12th Regional Health Service Center, Yala Province, Thailand to be samples of the study. The
questionnaire contained the information on personal characteristics, knowledge, attitudes,
awareness, social support and the practices of GREEN hospital campaign. The statistics used for
data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Independent t-test, One-Way
ANOVA and multiple regression analysis.
The results showed that the level of knowledge in operations and the level of social
support for the GREEN hospitals campaign in case of reducing global warming of public health
officers in 12th Regional Health Service Center were at a moderate level. The awareness of the
program is at a high level. When stratified by personal characteristics, the results showed
that working experiences and salary receiving were statistically significant difference in the
achievement of GREEN hospital campaign(p = .004, p = .002 and p = .041, respectively). While,
the awareness and social supports for the process had significantly influence the achievement of
GREEN hospitals campaign in case of reducing global warming (p = .007 and p = .008,
respectively). To achieve the achievement of GREEN hospitals campaign, the
campaign organizers should activate continuously.
