Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to build the Business Model Canvas for the current tutoring schools in the three southern border provinces (case study Changlee Hotel), 2) to analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of strategic management of the tutoring schools in the three southern border provinces (case study Changlee Hotel), 3) to analyze the TOWS Matrix of the tutoring schools in the three southern border provinces (case study Changlee Hotel), and 4) to search for guidelines of strategic management of the tutoring schools in the three southern border provinces (case study Changlee Hotel).
The samples used were entrepreneurs of the tutoring schools, involved government officers who support the business of the tutoring schools, and students of the tutoring schools in the three southern border provinces (case study Changlee Hotel). The results were as follows:
1) The Business Model Canvas of the tutoring schools in the three southern border provinces (case study Changlee Hotel) found that customers were Prathom 6, Mathayom 3 and 6 students in the three southern border provinces and undergraduates who wanted to apply for government jobs. Values of product and service were that there was test examples for drilling; students were able to entrance to university; studying atmosphere was friendly, funny, and not so stress; and courses met the students requirements. Channels were social medias, billboards, brochures, leaflet, and suggestions of local private and government schools. Customer relationships were done by promotions, impressive services, giving the studying advices, friendly teaching, training by selected lecturers and experts. Revenue streams were from tuition fees, course fees, extra course CD, and educational medias and materials selling. Key resources were specialist teachers who used understandable techniques in teaching and educational places. Key activities were courses public relations, teaching according to course and time, and educational media development. Key partners were student guardians, government schools, private schools, government agencies, and private organizations in the three southern border provinces. Cost structures were teachers and personnel wage, public relations cost, and public utility cost.
2) The strength of the tutoring schools in the three southern border provinces (case study Changlee Hotel) found that the tutoring schools had the appropriate courses. The weakness of the tutoring schools in the three southern border provinces (case study Changlee Hotel) found that the expenses of tutoring schools were high which influenced on other expenses would be high too. The opportunities of the tutoring schools in the three southern border provinces (case study Changlee Hotel) found that the schools administrators should bring technology and innovation to classroom. They should be alliance with private and government schools. The threat of the tutoring schools in the three southern border provinces (case study Changlee Hotel) was commotion in the three southern border provinces.
3) The planning of strategies or guidelines of strategic management of the tutoring schools in the three southern border provinces (case study Changlee Hotel) revealed that these following strategies were employed in the study: (1) corporate strategy, (2) growth strategy comprised of public relations and courses creation that support the higher level of university entrance, communication via several channels between teachers and students, and teaching techniques to attract students, and (3) business strategy comprised of differentiation strategy which were organizing online classroom for students under partnership network in a lower price, sharing knowledge and tips through social medias which could be affected to course applications, and creating educational medias for students in a proper price.
