Parachuting business through human resource development practices in Pattaya city
Abstract:
The purpose of this independent study (IS) is to investigate the factors that
need to be considered when doing the parachuting business in Pattaya City.
The researcher employed quantitative research as the research design, and the survey
used a research strategy. The data collection method in this study was the
questionnaire. The research used SPSS software for data analysis. The sampling in
this study was 28 employees who worked in a Parachuting Business in Pattaya City.
The questionnaire was separate into three parts: (1) Demographic Data, (2) Factors
that need to be considered when doing the parachuting business, and (3) Additional
Comments. In order to explore the extent of the objectives of this study, the data were
statistically analyzed in terms of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The results were presented as the factors that need to be considered when doing the
parachuting business in Pattaya City as follows:
1. Marketing: the place is in a good location, uses the internet for finding
information all the time, and the equipment is good quality.
2. Human resources: staff are well trained, have knowledge and expertise in
doing parachuting, know well how to do parachuting and can communicate well.
3. Training and development: the equipment used in training is similar to the
equipment found on the job, they are well trained about parachuting, and they have
many training activities about parachuting.
4. Career development: their career is helpful in personal growth, they enjoy
their current career, they see themselves continuing on this career path, and the career
choice is a good occupational decision for them.

5. Organization development: people in the organization are helpful and
cooperative, the goals of this organization are clearly stated, and the division of labor
of this organization is flexible.
6. Legal issues: it follows Thai Laws and regulations about the parachuting
business, always follows aviation rules, always follows flight rules, illegal to jump in
or through clouds, and asks permission from the government before parachuting, and
knows well about Thai Laws and regulations about the parachuting business.
7. Safety: they are concerned about equipment quality, parachuting in poor
weather, especially with thunderstorms, high winds, and dust devils can be
a dangerous activity, and they have insurance for customer, and are concerned about
safety all the time, and changing wind conditions are the risk factor.
This study will be beneficial to both employees and companies to investigate
the factors that need to be considered when doing the parachuting business in Pattaya
City.
