Learning management to promote information technology usage for upper secondary school students under department of education, Bangkok Metropolitan administration
Abstract:
This research aimed to 1) study learning management to promote information technology
usage for upper secondary school students under Department of Education, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration 2) study problems and solutions of learning management to promote information technology usage for upper secondary school students under Department of Education, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and 3) compare grade 10, 11 and 12 students opinions on learning management to promote information technology usage for upper secondary school students under Department of Education, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. This study was Survey Research. By applying Multistage Sampling, the sample consisted of 14 computer teachers and 290 upper secondary school students from 3 schools under Department of Education, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. The research instruments, two sets of questionnaires were validated
for the content validity by 3 experts with IOC (Index of Item Objective Congruence) between 0.67-1.00. The result of reliability test was 0.75. The data were collected by the researcher and analyzed by using percentage, mean ( X̅ ), standard deviation (S.D.) and compared for the opinions by F-test.
The results showed that 1) the teachers learning management in promoting information
technology usage for secondary school students under Department of Education, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration was in a high, 2) most of the teachers and the students had problems on the readiness of computers and related devices and the different of computer skills of students.
The solutions included computer and related device maintenance, making-up class and supporting the students to have more/sufficient computer practice, and 3) all of the students opinions on the learning management were not significantly different in each class level.
