Research on the relations among organization culture identity and turnover intention : taking Nanning's private teachers as an example
Abstract:
The development of private education is constrained by various kinds of factors.
The high rates of teacher turnover is the important issue currently faced by private
primary and secondary school administrators and needed to be solved urgently. The
solutions to this problem are to strengthen organizational culture, enhance the
motivation level of the teachers, reduce teachers' turnover intention, and thus reduce
the turnover. This study reviewed the literature on the relationships among
organizational culture, job satisfaction and turnover intention, created the framework,
built the research model and research hypothesis. Data were collected through
questionnaires. The sample consisted of 232 teachers of private schools in Nanning.
The samples were analyzed by data analysis software SPSS22.0. Descriptive
analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis and mediation analysis were used
to analyze the data. The results showed: 1) organizational culture is negatively
correlated with turnover intention; 2)organizational culture is positively correlated
with job satisfaction; 3) job satisfaction is negatively correlated with turnover
intention; (4) job satisfaction is mediated by the relationship between organizational
culture and turnoverintention. Finally, this study made some recommendation for
private primary and secondary school administrators.
