Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study the leadership of the personnel in Welfare Directorate of Royal Thai Air Force and to compare the development of leadership of personnel in Welfare Directorate of Royal Thai Air Force based on personnel factors. This study was quantitative approach which was conducted by studying the sample of 248 respondents selected by simple random sampling technique from 600 persons who were Air Force personnel in Welfare Directorate. The tool for data correction was a questionnaire and the data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics including percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Hypothesis was tested by using independent t-test, one way ANOVA (F-test) with scheffe comparison method.The research results were as follows: 1) The leadership of personnel in Welfare Directorate of the Royal Thai Air Force in overall was at high level ( = 4.05), while considered in detail , it was found that all of the three aspects were also at high level ,ranking from the highest to the lowest as follows ; the aspect of value in the leader in ( = 4.14), followed by the aspect of external personality ( = 4.03) and the leadership behavior ( = 3.98), respectively. 2)In comparison of development of the leadership of the personnel in Welfare Directorate, it was found that, there was no difference in leadership development of personnel Welfare Directorate of Royal Thai Air Force with the different gender, age, marital status and working experience, while there was difference in leadership development with the different of educational level at the statistical level of confidence .05.
