A Study of Relationship between Leadership of School Administrators and Job Satisfaction of Teachers in Basic Schools under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Areas 36 of Phayao Province
Abstract:
The objectives of research were: 1) to study the transformational leadership of school administrators in basic schools under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Areas 36 of Phayao Province ; 2) to study job satisfaction of teachers in basic schools under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Areas 36 of Phayao Province; and 3) to study the correlation between leadership of school administrators and job satisfaction of teachers in basic schools under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Areas 36 of Phayao Province. The sample for the research were 285 instructors. The instruments for data collection consisted of 33 item questionnaires inquiring about the transformational leadership of administrators with the overall reliability value of 0.94. Mean, standard deviation and simple correlation were used to analyze the program. The research findings were as follows: 1) The overall opinions towards the transformational leadership of administrators was at high level, ranking from high to low as follow: selling leadership, participating leadership, delegating leadership and Telling leadership. 2) The overall opinions towards job satisfaction of personnel was at high level, ranking from high to low as follow: Motivative factor; The arrangement opinions towards job satisfaction of personnel had the most average in high levels was company procedure and pay was the least. Hygiene factor; Achievement had the most average in high levels and work was the least. 3) The transformational leadership of administrators was positively correlated with job satisfaction of personnel was high level at .01 statistic significance.
