The Performance abide by the Code of Ethics of the Teachers in the Public Schools, the Office of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area 2
Abstract:
This research aimed to 1) to study the performance abide by the code of ethics of the
teachers in the public schools of the Office of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational
Service Area 2, and 2) to compare the performance conforming to the code of ethics of teaching
profession in the public schools of the Office of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational
Service Area 2 classified by gender, educational background, and work experience.
The samples were consisted of 313 teachers from the Office of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya
Primary Educational Service Area 2. The instrument was the questionnaire. The statistics for data
analysis were percentage, mean, frequency, standard deviation, t-test statistics, and the One-Way
Analysis of Variance (One-way ANOVA).
The major findings revealed that 1) the performance of the code of ethics of teaching
profession in the public schools belonged to the Office of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary
Educational Service Area 2 was generally at the high level. It was found that the average of
commitment to oneself was at the highest level of individuals. The higher level was equal in value,
namely, the commitment to the service recipients, the commitment to the colleague of teaching
profession, the commitment to the society, and the commitment to the profession of the occupation.
2) The result of the comparative study of the performance conforming to the code of ethics of
teaching profession in the public schools belonged to the Office of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya
Primary Educational Service Area 2 classified by gender, educational background, and work
experience were distinctive statistically significantly at the .05 level.
