Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to develop the learning activities packages of science entitled Light and Visibility" by using subjects inquiry cycle (5E) for Prathomsuksa 4 students to meet the criteria set at 80/80; 2) to compare the students' achievement before and after learning by using the learning activities packages of science "Light and Visibility" by using subjects inquiry cycle (5E) for Prathomsuksa 4 students; 3) to study the effectiveness index of learning by using the learning activities packages of science entitled 'Light and Visibility' by using subjects inquiry cycle (5E) for Prathomsuksa 4 students; and 4) to study the students' level of satisfaction towards the learning by using the learning activities packages of science entitled "Light and Visibility" by using subjects inquiry cycle (5E) for Prathomsuksa 4 students. The samples consisted of 33 Prathomsuksa 4/1 students studying in the first semester of academic year 2018 with the simple random sampling technique, obtained through the draw by using class as a unit of sampling method. The research instruments included 1) 6 sets of learning activities packages of science entitled "Light and Visibility" by using subjects inquiry cycle (5E) for Prathomsuksa 4 students; 2) 6 lesson plans entitled 'Light and Visibility' by using subjects inquiry cycle (5E) for Prathomsuksa 4 students; 3) a 30-item test with 4 multiple- choices; and 4) a 10-item questionnaire asking students' satisfaction towards learning by using the learning activities packages of science entitled "Light and Visibility" by using subjects inquiry cycle (5E). The statistics used for analyzing the collected data were percentage, mean, standard deviation,
effectiveness (E,/E), efficiency (E.I.), and the hypothesis v was tested by dependent samples t-test. The findings revealed that:
1. The learning activities packages of science entitled "Light and Visibility" by using subjects inquiry cycle (5E) for Prathomsuksa 4 students had an efficiency of 81.97/81.52 which met the criteria set at 80/80
2. The learning achievement of students after using the learning activities packages of science entitled "Light and Visibility" by using subjects inquiry cycle (5E) for Prathomsuksa 4 students was higher than before learning with significant difference at .05 level.
3. The effectiveness index of learning by using the learning activities packages of science entitled "Light and Visibility" by using subjects inquiry cycle (5E) for Prathomsuksa 4 students was 0.7009. This indicated that the students' learning achievement increased 0.7009 or 70.09 %.
4. The students' satisfaction towards learning by using the learning activities packages of science entitled "Light and Visibility" by using subjects inquiry cycle (5E) for Prathomsuksa 4 students as a whole was at high level.
