Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to examine a level of public opinions towards quality of service provided by Ratchmangkhalapisek National Library, Chanthaburi Province and to compare the level of opinions as classified by gender, age, education, occupation, and service use. The data were collected from 384 people using service at Ratchmangkhalapisek National Library, Chanthaburi Province. The size of these subjects were calculated based on an unknown population size with a set of its proportion at 0.5 and a confidence level at 95%. The statistical test used to analyze the collected data included frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation. In addition, the test of t-test was administered to compare the differences between independent variables with two groups; and the test of One-way ANOVA was used to compare the differences among independent variables with three groups onwards. Also, the Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) was administered to test the differences between pairs with a preset of a significant level at .05. The results of this study revealed that the subjects rated their opinions towards the aspects of quality of service, including tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and sympathy, at the highest level. Finally, based on the test of hypotheses, it was shown that there were statistically significant differences in the level of opinions towards quality of service provided by Ratchmangkhalapisek National Library, Chanthaburi Province among the subjects with different gender, age, education, occupation, and service use at a significant level of .05.
