Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to examine a level of satisfaction among 400 foreign tourists with the performance of tourist police in Pattaya City, Chon Buri Province. The instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire with a reliability of .805. The statistical tests used to analyze the collected data included frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation. The inferential statistical tests, including the tests of t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Scheffe were also administered. The results of this study revealed that the foreign tourists were satisfied with the performance of tourist police in Pattaya City at a high level. When considering each aspect of satisfaction, the ones in relation to service provision, facilities, tourist attractions, safety and hygiene, and safety when getting lost, were rated at a high level. Thus, the level of satisfaction among foreign tourists with the performance of tourist police in Pattaya City, Chon Buri Province was at a high level. In addition, based on the results from the comparisons, there were no statistically significant differences in the level of satisfaction among foreign tourists who were male and female with performance of tourist police in Pattaya City, Chon Buri Province. Also, no statistically significant differences were found in the level of satisfaction among foreign tourists who had different age, status, educational level, occupation, and amount of income. Finally, there was a statistically significant difference in the level of satisfaction among foreign tourists who had different length of stay in Thailand at a significant level of .05.
