Abstract:
The purpose of this research wss to study the trends of innovative technology for distance teaching and learning during the years 2545-2550 B.E. The sample of the study purposively selected consisted of 17 experts in educational technology, educational audio-visual, educational technology and communication, and distance learning. Delphi technique was utilized in this study. Thc tools used for data collection \vere open-ended questions with 5 rating scales. The data was analyzed to determine statistical values by using Median (Mdn), Mode (hlo), Interquartile (QY)and the differences between Median and Mode. The results of the study were as follows: 1. The radio: Used VHF ua\e nith FM and AM systems to provide educational courses and information.Teaching and learning styles obtained Gom the radio were conversation, lectures, documentary, interview, interaction, or depending on the subject objectives and the ages of learners. 2. The television: Used public service with UHFwave that could be received directly for teaching and learning. For Thaicom satellite, it used DTH of KU-BAND and PAL systems.The objectives were for education and information. Teaching and learning style obtained from the television were demonstration, self -learning, interview, lectures, simulation and case study in form of documentary. 3. The computer : Used LAN and ISDN, organization networks such as IT Campus, UniNet, and internet and Intranet. For learning and teaching style, it used digital library, multimedia and hypermedia. The objectives of teaching and learning were educational courses, information and training. Main elements of the lessons were content, concept, suggestion, title, objective, data source, interactive, summary, supplement learning source, test, action, assignment, reference and consulting. 4. Videoconference: Used point to multi -points, two main classrooms and more than four sub -classrooms. The signal was sent by the satellite and microwave. Fiber optic and ISDN was used for computer network, LAN, International Network and WAN. The objectives were for education, information and training. The qualifications of teacher based on the following: be trained before teaching; understand well the teaching media and; have experience in distance teaching. There should be 2-4 persons in teaching team for one course. Teaching and learning style of videoconference were lectures, discussion and demonstration. 5. Supporting media included printed materials, leaming center, leaming package, Instructional Module ,educational service center. Learning Resources Center (LRC). The Television used for supporting media utilized video on demand, Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) and digital library.The computer used Computer-Assisted Instruction, learning and teaching through WNTT., electronic- mail and digital library. The videoconference used digital library, Compuier-Assisted Instruction, Interactive Video, learning and teaching through T~TW, electronic classroom and electronic- mail. 6. Life long leaming was the learners' learning process. Beginners of radio, computer, and videoconference leanling could start at 18 years old . Beginners of Television learning could begin at 2 1 years old. 7. Measurement and evaluation methods were writing test, interview, report writing, progress evaluation, portfolios, exercise for extra experiences, practical work, simulation, the picture feedback of its result in the instructional program, interaction, authentic evaluation, and objective test and essay test.
