Abstract:
The purpose of this study was twofold. First, it aimed at investigating public opinion towards traffic work performance. Also, this study attempted to compare the level of public opinion towards traffic work performance of Khlongluek Police Station as classified by personal factors. The subjects participating in this study were 313 residents of Aranyaprathet Sub-district. They were living the area responsible by Khlongluek Police Station. The instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire. The statistical tests used to analyze the collected data included frequency, percentage, means, and standard deviation. To test the hypotheses for more than 2 groups of subjects, One-way ANOVA and t-test were operated. Also, Scheffe test was used to test the differences between pairs with a preset of a statistically significant level at 0.05. The results of the study revealed that the majority of the respondents were male more than female, aged 25-34, holding a high school certificate/vocational certificate, doing general work with the amount of monthly income of 10,001-20,000 baht. Also, it was shown that the level of public opinion towards traffic work performance of Klongluek Police Station was found at a high level. Specifically, the subjects rated the aspect in relation to the management of traffic work at the highest level, followed by the aspects relating to traffic control and law enforcement, and dissemination of traffic-related knowledge to public, respectively. Finally, it was shown that there were differences in the level of opinion toward traffic work performance of Khlongluek Police Station among the subjects with different gender, age, educational level, occupation, and income at a significant level of 0.05.
