Abstract:
This research aimed to study the process of Mahachart preaching of monks and developing
the process of preaching to the Mahachart sermon for monks in Buddhism. The research and development technique was used, subsequently, collecting basic information from the scriptures, documents, articles, texts, and in-depth interviews with 20 participants who were the teacher of the Mahayana Tipitaka, having the experience of preaching the Mahachat. Thereafter, created the training curriculum and manual in order to train 17 monks. Data were analyzed by the interpretivism content analysis, summarizing the key dialogues information, and confirming by 5 experts in the curriculum development and training manual.
The results demonstrated that;
Firstly, the process of the Mahachart preaching in Buddhist monks was that the Mahachart preaching nature was changed from the original according to the time. The Mahachart preaching inheritance should be restorating the sermon ancient, which is being lost. Nowadays, the sermon was
done to serve a tradition, the monks must be able to incorporate today situation to make people understand the whole 13 chapters. in Learning Sermon. Monks and novices need serious intention, learn the Melody of royal melodiousness, the ordinary melody and the specify sermon melody.
Secondly, the development of the process of preaching the Mahachart sermon for monks in Buddhism was done done fhrough creating traing curriculum and the training manual which the content contained both the Mahachart sermon basic knowledge and the practised skill, all of 15 lessons.
The whole training period should be at least 258 hours for the actual field practice. The evaluations were done between and after training. In overall, the sermon has accomplished the objectives of the training. The individual, monk had the aptitude for preaching, varies according to the basis of particular voices.
In conclusion, the Mahachart sermon has been adjusted from time to time. The training curriculum and the training manual were proved to be able to develop the process of preaching for monks and novices who seriously intend to learn and rehearses, so that, they are able to sermon.
