Abstract:
This paper aims to investigate health cares characteristics and supply chain management in Chiang Mai province, especially focusing on Public Health Center. Focusing on problems of patients behavior, this paper also aims to identify factors that most influencing to patients decision when use health care facilities in Chiang Mai province, Thailand. This paper adopts an exploratory, mixed methods approach; including with the quantitative phrase that is evaluated factors influencing patients decision to use health care facilities. Finding also presented almost every factor important to patient when making decision to use health care facilities. For instance, quality of supplies and equipment; quality of drugs and medicines; reliable doctors, staffs, and diagnosis gain the most important by scale. Only one supply chain of PHC in Chiang Mai province is studied. The paper showed various aspects effecting patients behavior to use health care facilities in order to bring benefit to whole PHC in Thailand. The value of this paper arises by providing a detailed analysis of small organization as PHC. There have been only small number of other studies published, and most of them are in Thai language.
