Abstract:
This objectives of this research were to study the factors affecting the work durationof computer officers who belong to head offices of government banks, the correlation of factorsrelated to job satisfaction and the comparison of job satisfaction and the achievementmotivations involving personnel with different status. The samples include 234 computer officers who work for government banks, duringthe fiscal year 1994- 1997.The data were analysized by fundamental statistics, t-test, F-test, and painviseComparison by Scheffe's and Stepwise Multiple Regression. The results were as follows:1. Computer officers were satisfied mostly with job description and were mostlydissatisfied with job administration. Despite the fact that personnel had job achievement motives, they desired to resign.2. Computer officers with different genders and educational levels show nosignificant difference on job achievement motives, desire to resign and job satisfaction.3. Present personnel who were still working with different ages were significantdifference on desire to resign.4. Present personnel who were still working with single and married status weredifferently satisfied of income, benefit, welfare and desire to resign.5. Job satisfaction was oppositely correlated to the desire to resign but was notcorrelated to achievement motives.6. Factors as salary, desire to resign and job satisfaction do influent to workduration. Whilst salary, wages vary in line with work duration, job satisfaction and desire toresign vary adversely with work duration. The equation was Y^ = 5155.287+0.258x1 - 1281.324x2 - 706.86x4This equation could predict the work at 65 percentage.
