Development of learning achievements concerning Buddhist principles taught by faith and Yonisomanasikarn for Grade 7 students of opportunity expansion schools in Prachin Buri Primary Educational Service Area Office 2
Abstract:
The purpose of this research were to study the development of learning achievements and compare grade 7 students learning achievements in Buddhist principles taught using instructions based on faith and Yonisomanasikarn, with a criterion of 80 %. The sample for this research consisted of 30 grade 7 student studying at Banhanwittaya School, Prachin Buri Province, enrolled in the second semester of the academic year 2014. They were selected by cluster random sampling. The instruments used for gathering the data were lesson plans on Buddhist principles using instructions based on faith and Yonisomanasikarn, an achievement test given after each lesson and an evaluation given at the end of the lessons. The statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, one way repeated measure ANOVA and one sample t-test. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The grade 7 students who learned Buddhist principles using instructions based on faith and Yonisomanasikarn had statistically better learning achievements after 9 repeated measures at the 0.05 level of significance. 2. The learning achievements of the grade 7 students who learned Buddhist principles using the instructions based on faith and Yonisomanasikarn were higher than the set criterion of 80 % at the 0.05 level of significance.
