Abstract:
The SCRIP online learning model is a student-centered learning (SCL) or child-centered learning. The teaching and learning is based on the benefit of the students. The key learning process of the SCRIP online learning model (SCRIP-OLM) is consisted of three learning theory: 1) collaborative learning, 2) constructivist and 3) automatic learning technology that can support and respond to learners individual difference in knowledge. The word "SCRIP" comes from different letters that symbolize concepts: S symbolizes (Student Teams Achievement Divisions), C symbolizes CLM (The Constructivist Learning Model), R symbolizes Resource Support, I symbolizes ISA : Improve Score Assisted, and P symbolizes PAR Constructivist. The objectives of this research were 1) the synthesis of the SCRIP-OLM, 2) developing website based on SCRIP-OLM, 3) to develop lessons based on SCRIP-OLM, 4) to study the effectiveness by using the developed lessons, 5) to find out the effectiveness index (E.I) of learning with the developed lessons, 6) to compare the achievement before and after using the SCRIP-OLM and 7) to evaluate the students satisfaction on learning with the developed lessons based on SCRIP-OLM. The research methodology was consisted of five steps: 1) the synthesis of the SCRIP online learning model by using EFR techniques, 2) the development of online SCRIP websites by using a computer software system development procedure, Waterfall model, 3) the lesson development based on SCRIP-OLM learning which followed ADDIE models lesson designing steps in computer programming theory, educational technology and teaching major, Rajabhat Rajanagarindra University 4) the lessons were tested with and the data was gathered from the samples of 52 first year students in the faculty of education, Rajabhat Rajanagarindra University and 5) data analysis and research conclusion.
The results of this research were 1) the SCRIP-OLM was consisted of four learning steps as follows: the first step was the presentation of the basic knowledge necessary for learners, the second step was the learning team creation, the third step was the team competition and the fourth step was the review to full fill the knowledge, 2) the results of website SCRIP were consisted of 15 modules and the average value of experts opinion on the website was very high (X ̅ = 4.84, S.D. = 0.35), 3) the average value of experts opinion on the developed lessons based on SCRIP-OLM was high (X ̅ = 4.12, S.D. = 0.58), 4) the efficiency of the developed lessons using was 81.54/82.30, 5) the effectiveness index was 0.72, 6) the learning achievement of the students after learning with SCRIP website in computer programming theory subject was significantly and statistically higher than before learning at .01 level and 7) the students satisfaction of learning with the developed lessons was high (X ̅ = 4.25, S.D. = 0.64).
This research concluded that the collaborative learning skills and self-directed learning skill based on the SCRIP-OLM could help students to succeed in target of learning effectively and the automatic learning technology could support and responds to learners individual difference in knowledge and helps students succeed in their study faster. In addition, the automatic learning technology could support the individual difference in learners knowledge which makes students spend less time learning but earn more learning achievement.
