Factors of Decision on Studying in Bachelor of Technology Program of High vocational Certificate Students in Mechanical Technique Program under Buriram Vocational Education
Abstract:
The purposes of this reach were to study and compare the factors of decision on studying in the bachelor of technology program of high vocational certificate students in mechanical technique program under Buriram Vocational Education, classified by their former education, accumulative grade point average and familys monthly total income. The samples consisted of 191 high vocational certificate students of mechanical technique program under Buriram Vocational Education in academic year 2016, specified by the table of Krejcie and Morgan and selected by simple random sampling method. The research instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire with three parts: checklist, rating scale, and open-ended questions. Its reliability was 0922. The statistics used to analyze the data were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The hypothesis was tested by t-test and F-test.
The results of this research showed that:
1. Students opinions about the factors effecting their decision on studying in the bachelor of technology program were overall at a high level. Taking each aspect into consideration, it was found that all were at a high level. They were put in order form high to low, namely entrepreneurs cooperation, curriculum and instruction, and the vocational education management in academic institution respectively.
2. Having compared opinions about the factors of decision on studying in bachelor of technology program of high vocational certificate students of mechanical technique program under Buriram Vocational Education, classified by their former education, accumulative grade point average and familys monthly total income, it revealed as follows:
2.1 The opinions of students with their different former education about the factors of decision on studying in bachelor degree were not different in overall aspect. Taking each aspect into consideration, it was found that the curriculum and instruction was significantly different at the statistical level of .50.
2.2 The opinions of students with different accumulative grade point average about this issue were significantly different at the statistical level of .05 in overall aspect. Taking each aspect into consideration, it was found that the vocational education management in academic institutions, the curriculum and instruction, and the entrepreneurs cooperation were significantly different at the statistical level of .05.
2.3 The opinions of students with familys monthly total income that was different about this issue were not different in overall and each aspect.
