Abstract:
This research was aimed to develop a computer assisted instruction program on a web page for a course on Electronic Device and Circuits for Vocational Diploma Program. Another goal was to comparethe academic achievements of the students who took this course by using individual and group computer aided instruction programs on web pages. Two kinds of research instruments were constructedfor the experiments: (1) a 5 academic-credit computer aided lessons on a web page covering Shockley Diode, SCR, Diac and Triac; and(2) an academic achievement test. A sample consisted of 30 students 2nd year Dual Education Vocational students majoring in Electronics from Nakhonpathom Technical College. They were divided into 2 groups by employing the simple random sampling technique. One group consisted of 8 pairs of group 2 students. This group was given a treatment of a group computer aided instruction. The other group received an individual computer aided instruction. All students took the same materials. After completing the lessons, an academic achievement test was conducted, then a t-test was calculated by using SPSS Program. It was finally found that with the computer aided instruction on a web page, all the 30 students hadthe percentage scores of 84.335185.70 The t-test showed that the academic achievements of both groups of students were different. The students with a group study had higher academic achievements than those who took an individual study with a statistical significance.
