Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to examine public satisfaction towards services offered by investigating officers at investigation unit for facilitating justice in Khlong Yai police station. Also, this study attempted to compare the level of public satisfaction as classified by personal information, including gender, age, educational level, occupation, and amount of income. The subjects participating in this study were 264 people using services at Khlong Yai police station. The statistical tests used to analyze the collected data included percentage, means, standard deviation. To test the hypotheses, t-test was operated to compare the differences of independent variables with two groups. Also, One-way ANOVA was used to compare the differences of independent variables with three groups onwards. The Least Significant Different test (LSD) was operated. The results of this study revealed that the majority of the respondents were female, aged 20-30, holding a bachelors degree, owning a business, and having an amount of income of 10,000-20,000 baht. Also, it was shown the level of public satisfaction towards services offered by investigating officers at investigation unit for facilitating justice in Khlong Yai police station was found at a high level. Specifically, they rated the aspect in relation to the adequacy of service the highest, followed by equity of service, advancement of service, timeliness of service, and continuity of service, respectively. Based on the results from the test of hypotheses, it was shown that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of satisfaction with services offered by investigating officers at Khlong Yai Police Station among the subjects with different gender, educational level, occupation, and amount of income. Finally, a statistically significant difference in the level of satisfaction with services offered by investigating officers at Khlong Yai Police Station was found among the subjects with different age at a significant level of 0.05.
