Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to examine work motivation among personnel working
for Tungbenja Police Station located in Tungbenja Sub-district, AmphoeThamai, Chanthaburi
Province. The population participating in this study was 87 people. The instrument used to collect
the data was q questionnaire with a level of reliability of 0.816. The descriptive statistics used to
analyze the collected data included frequency, means, and standard deviation.
The results of this study were as follows:
1) It was shown that the level of work motivation among personnel working for
Tungbenja Police Station located in Tungbenja Sub-district, AmphoeThamai, Chanthaburi
Province was found at a high level.
2) Based on the results from the comparisons, it was shown that female personnel
had a higher level of work motivation than their male counterparts. Also, regarding age, the
personnel, aged 20-30, rated their level of work motivation at a high level, followed by those aged
51-60, 31-40, and 41-50, respectively. Based on an educational level, it was shown that the
personnel, holding a bachelors degree, had a high level of work motivation, followed by those
holding an educational degree lower than a bachelors degree, and those with a masters degree,
respectively. Considering their marital status, single personnel rated their level of work
motivation at a high level, followed by those personnel who were married, and divorced,
respectively.
