Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study and compare the emotional
quotients of school administrators according to opinions of teachers in Ko Samui under
Suratthani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sample included 161 teachers
selected by using simple random sampling. Data were collected by using a questionnaire
which yielded the reliability coefficient of 0.92. The data were analyzed by using mean,
standard deviation, t - test, and F - test.
The research findings showed that the overall and individual emotional quotients
of the school administrators according to opinions of teachers in Ko Samui under Suratthani
Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 were at a high level ranked in descending
order : empathy, self - awareness, social skill, emotional self - regulation, and self - motive,
respectively. The comparison analysis between the emotional quotients of the administrators,
who were different in terms of gender, teaching experience, background education, and
school size, was identical.
