Abstract:
การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความเป็นมาและสถานภาพ ปัญหาอุปสรรคในการดำเนินงาน ตลอดจนจุดมุ่งหมายและทิศทางของสถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบังใน พ.ศ. 2531 2540 ผลการวิจัย พบว่า ในอนาคตสถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบัง จะพัฒนาไปสู่ความเป็นเลิศทางวิชาการด้านวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี โดยด้านการผลิตบัณฑิตจะเน้นการผลิตบัณฑิตระดับปริญญาตรีในสาขาเดิม เสริมให้เข้มแข็งขึ้น สำหรับสาขาที่เน้นพิเศษ คือ คอมพิวเตอร์ อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ อุตสาหกรรมเกษตร เทคโนโลยีการเกษตร ปิโตรเคมี วิศวกรรมอุตสาหการ ด้านการวิจัย จะเน้นการทำวิจัยประยุกต์และวิจัยเพื่อพัฒนาตามแนวทางการพัฒนาประเทศ นอกจากนี้ ควรตั้งหน่วยประสานงานด้านวิจัย ด้านบริการทางวิชาการแก่ชุมชน ตลอดจนจัดตั้งอุทยานอุตสาหกรรม สำนักการศึกษาต่อเนื่อง สำนักฝึกอบรม ส่วนด้านทำนุบำรุงศิลปและวัฒนธรรม พบว่า ควรมีการสนับสนุนให้มากขึ้นแต่ยังไม่มีการกำหนดเป็นนโยบาย และในด้านรูปแบบการบริหารสถาบันนั้นควรมีการปรับปรุงโครงสร้างงานธุรการให้เป็นระบบกลาง เช่น ระบบทะเบียนกลาง ส่วนปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการดำเนินงาน ปัจจุบันพบว่า สถาบันฯ ขาดการประสานงานและร่วมมือกันในสถาบันในการวางนโยบายด้านผลิตบัณฑิต วิจัย บริการทางวิชาการแก่ชุมชนและทำนุบำรุงศิลปและวัฒนธรรม นอกจากนี้ยังมีปัญหาการขาดแคลนงบประมาณ เครื่องมืออุปกรณ์ และสถานที่ติดต่อประสานงาน ส่วนรูปแบบการบริหารสถาบันพบว่า โครงสร้างการบริหารที่เป็นระบบราชการ การสรรหาผู้บริหารเป็นอุปสรรคต่อความเจริญเติบโตทางวิชาการของสถาบัน อย่างไรก็ตามได้เสนอแนะเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาอุปสรรคเหล่านี้ เพื่อให้สถาบันพึ่งตนเอง โดยการให้บริการทางวิชาการแก่ชุมชนที่อยู่ในภาคเอกชน และอุตสาหกรรม และหาแหล่งอุดหนุนความช่วยเหลือทั้งภายในประเทศและต่างประเทศ
Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to study causes, status and problems related to the operation as well as the goal and guidelines of King Mongkuts Institute of Technology Chaokhuntaharn Ladkrabang during the year B.E. 2531 2540 The findings are to reach academic excellence in science and technology. The emphasis will still be the production on graduates and bachelor level in the conventional disciplines such as computer, electronics, agro-industry, agricultural technology, petro-chemical, industrial engineering. In terms of research activities, emphasis will be placed on applied research, research for development in accordance with National Development Plan. The emphasis will be to establish a coordinating unit in research and academic services to community. In addition, there are ideas to establish an industrial park, continuing education training institute. As for the cultural transmission function, there should be more activities but it was found that no policy has yet been formed. In addition, the administration system should be centralized such as registrar office. The result of this study also found that the major problem was the lack of cooperation within the institute in forming policies related to producing graduates, research activities and academic services to the community, and cultural promotion. Moreover insufficient budget, equipments, and facilities also cause of problems. The structure of administration were bureaucratic system. The process of selection for qualified administrators prevented growth in the development of the institute. It was recommended in this study that institution should be more self-reliance by offering academic services to private and industrial sectors, seeking fund, and assistance from inside and outside the country.
