Abstract:
This research aimed to study on the quality of work life of teachers in Hatyai, Songkhla according to their work experience. The samples composed of 181 teachers recruited from schools located in Hatyai, Songkhla, by simple random sampling. The instrument used in this study was a 5-rating scale questionnaire. Statistics used for the data analysis were frequency, percentage, Standard Deviation, and t-test.
The research results were that
1. The quality of work life of teachers regarding 8 aspects was at a high level, as follows: social relevance, safe and healthy working environment, total life space, career growth and security, social integration, constitutionalism in the work organization, development of human capacities, and adequate and fair compensation, was in high level both overall and each aspect.
2. Their work experience had influence on their quality of life at .05 level of significance. The teachers with more than 10 years of experience showed higher quality of work life than those with less than 10 years of experience.
