Abstract:
This research aimed to study and compare the levels of morale in performance of the teachers in the municipal schools under the jurisdiction of Hatyai City Municipality, Hatyai, Songkhla according to their gender, age, education, salary, position, and period of time working in Hatyai City Municipality. The 197 teachers were samples for this study. The research instrument was a 5-rating scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using Arithmetic mean, Standard Deviation, and t-test.
The research findings were as follows:
1. The morale in performance of the teachers in the municipal schools under the jurisdiction of Hatyai City Municipality totally was at a high level ( = 3.91, S.D. = 0.93). Considering each aspect found every aspect was at a high level, as follows: working condition ( = 4.16), advancement ( = 4.15), security ( = 4.04), sense of belongings ( = 3.90), human relation ( = 3.68), and welfare ( = 3.57), respectively.
2. Age, salary, and position had influence on morale in their working at .01 level of significantly difference, but gender, education level, and time period working had no difference.
