Abstract:
The purpose of this research were to study the academic administration of schools under Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Municipality and to compare the academic administration of schools under Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Municipality, as classified by school size and school location. The research sample were 209 education personnel in schools under Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Municipality in the 2014 academic year, which determined sample size by Krejcie and Morgan s sample size table and randomly selected by Stratified Random Sampling method. The instrument used was 48 items of five-point rating scale questionnaire with index of item objective congruence ranged from 0.80 to 1.00 and reliability at 0.98.The data were analyzed to find percentage, arithmetic mean, and standard deviation. The hypothesis were tested by one-way analysis of variance (one-way ANOVA) and t-test testing. Research finding were as following:1.Academic administration of the schools under Phranakorn Si Ayutthaya City Municipality was at a high level as a whole and separately in descending order from the highest to the lowest: curriculum administration and curriculum implementation , quality assurance, learning and teaching, curriculum and curriculum development, student activity management, measurement and evaluation, transfer of learning credits, development and promotion learning sources and libraries, supervision in schools, development and use of instructional media and technology, research to improve the quality of education, development of academic personnel, coordination and participation of community, educational institutions and other organizations. 2.Academic administration in small, medium and large schools under Phranakorn Si Ayutthaya City Municipality was different at the 0.05 level of significance. Academic administration of large schools was higher than academic administration of small and medium schools.3.Academic administration of schools in the municipality and academic administration outside the municipality were different at the 0.05 level of significance. Academic administration of schools in the municipality was higher than academic administration outside the municipality.
