Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the management level based on the principles of governance of the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), 2) to study the relationship between organizational factors and the management based on principles of governance of the OAG and 3) to propose guidelines for the application of the principles of government at the OAG. This study was quantitative research, the sample consisted of 235 government officials of the OAG selected by simple and stratified random sampling. The tool for data collection was a 5 level rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearsons correlation coefficient. The research findings were as follows: 1. The management level of based on the principles of governance in overall was at the high level. Considering in each aspect was found that the aspect of rules of law was at the highest level, followed by the aspect of ethics, transparency, responsibility, value of money or efficiency and participation, respectively. 2. The hypothesis testing found that the relationship between the organizational factors and the management based on the principles of governance in overall had positively correlated at a high level significantly of 0.01, considering in each aspect and ranked from the high to low level were the organization structure (r = 0.818), the coordination (r = 0.799), the leadership (r = 0.629) and the decentralization (r = 0.480), respectively. 3. The proposed suggestions from the research composed of 1) the organization should adjust the structure of the organization by considering the chain of command, knowledge and competence of personnel 2) promoting the decentralization by allocating duty and to meet the needs of people quickly 3) promoting personnel to provide training to increase knowledge, position specific capabilities in order to create professional expertise and 4) support management by applying the principles of governance in the organization management to achieve the maximum benefit to the organization even more.
