Abstract:
The research aimed to develop the model of the strategic leadership for the directors of sub - district health promotion hospitals under
the public health ministry. The samples used in the research were 400 directors of sub - district health promotion hospitals affiliated to the ministry of public health in Northeastern Thailand, derived by a stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Statistics used in data analysis was frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, a survey analysis of
the components and a content analysis. The research findings were as follows: The model of the strategic leadership for the directors of the hospitals composed of four components: concepts and principles of the model, objectives of the model, the operational procedures according to the model, and the success conditions and indicators of the model. The model was found to be appropriate, feasible and practical at the highest level. The leadership for the directors of the hospitals consisted of nine sub components:
with strategic planning, vision formulation, ทpractice according to the vision, transformation leadership, determination of the vision, strategic control, direction setting, communicating a vision and application of the strategies. The result of the experiment used of the model showed that prior to the experiment, the model was at a good level. After being used, the model was found to be at a very good level. The subjects, satisfaction towards the model was overall at the highest level.
