Abstract:
Purposes The purpose of this research was to study and compare the opinions of teachers and teachers college students in Ratchaburi province concerning task and criterion profiles of elementary school teachers. Procedures 1. The data of this research were collected from 180 opinionaires which consisted of multiple choice, rating scale and check list answers. These opinionaires were designed to evaluate general education, professional education, technical skills of teaching, attitudes and values and job description. 2. Opinionaires were sent to 250 teachers and 500 teachers college students in Ratchaburi province. 3. The obtained data were analyzed in percentage, mean, standard deviation, chi-square and z-test. The conclusions were presented in tables with explanation. Findings 1. The opinions of most teachers and teachers college students concerning general education, professional education, attitudes and values of elementary school teachers were satisfactory. 2. The status of being teachers and teachers college students influenced on some of the opinionaire items. The results of some chi-square analysis were significant at the level of .05 whereas some were not significant. 3. The arithmetic mean of two sampled groups on general education shoed on significant differences at the level of .05. 4. The arithmetic mean of two sampled groups on professional education showed significant differences at the level of .05. 5. The mean of opinions of teachers and teachers college students showed an agreement on all items of technical skills of teaching and job description.
