Abstract: งานวิจัยนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อกำหนดพื้นที่อนุรักษ์การเพาะปลูกพืชเศรษฐกิจ และ เสนอแนะให้มีการใช้ประโยชน์จากทรัพยากรดินและที่ดินอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ โดยประยุกต์ระบบ สารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์ร่วมกับการวิเคราะเชิงลำดับชั้น (Analytic Hierarchical Process, AHP) จาก การศึกษาพบว่า จังหวัดชลบุรี มีพื้นที่ 2,726,875 ไร่ มีกลุ่มชุดดินที่เหมาะสมแก่การเพาะปลูก 1,540,978 ไร่ มีความรุนแรงการชะล้างพังทลายของดินมากกว่า 20 ตัน/ ไร่/ ปี มีพื้นที่ 2,225,991 ไร่ คิดเป็นร้อยละ 81.63 มีพื้นที่อยู่ในเขตชลประทาน 287,120 ไร่ มีพื้นที่ที่ห่างจากแหล่งน้ำไม่เกิน 200 เมตร 1,193,582 ไร่ จากการวิเคราะห์ลำดับชั้น (AHP) พบว่า ค่า Eigenvector มีค่าเท่ากับ 0.05 ซึ่ง น้อยกว่า 0.1 แสดงว่า ค่าปัจจัยมีความสอดคล้องกัน สามารถนำ Eigenvector ไปใช้เป็นค่าน้ำหนัก ได้ โดยปัจจัยกลุ่มชุดดินมีค่า 0.5128 ซึ่งมีน้ำหนักมากที่สุด และพื้นที่เส้นทางน้ำมีค่าน้ำหนักน้อย ที่สุด คือ 0.3333 จากการวิเคราะห์ลำดับชั้นพบว่า พื้นที่เหมาะสมแก่การอนุรักษ์มากที่สุดมีพื้นที่ 698,751 ไร่ พื้นที่เหมาะสมแก่การอนุรักษ์มากมีพื้นที่ 947,017 ไร่ พื้นที่เหมาะสมแก่การอนุรักษ์ ปานกลางมีพื้นที่ 339,679 ไร่ พื้นที่เหมาะสมแก่การอนุรักษ์น้อย 136,647 ไร่ พื้นที่ไม่เหมาะสมแก่ การอนุรักษ์มีพื้นที่ 2,141 ไร่ และพื้นที่นอกภาคการเพาะปลูกมีพื้นที่ 683,306 ไร่ พื้นที่เหมาะสมแก่ การอนุรักษ์การเพาะปลูกข้าวมากที่สุดอยู่ในอำเภอพนัสนิคม คิดเป็นร้อยละ 38.40 พื้นที่ที่เหมาะสม แก่การอนุรักษ์การเพาะปลูกมันสำปะหลังมากที่สุดอยู่ในอำเภอหนองใหญ่คิดเป็นร้อยละ 20.43 พื้นที่ที่เหมาะสมแก่การอนุรักษ์การเพาะปลูกปาล์มน้ำมันมากที่สุดอยู่ในอำเภอหนองใหญ่คิดเป็น ร้อยละ 21.84 พื้นที่ที่เหมาะสมแก่การอนุรักษ์การเพาะปลูกยางพารามากที่สุดมีพื้นที่อยู่ในพื้นที่ อำเภอหนองใหญ่คิดเป็นร้อยละ 20.43 ของพื้นที่อำเภอ และพื้นที่อำเภอเกาะจันทร์มีพื้นที่คิดเป็น ร้อยละ 15.40 ของพื้นที่อำเภอ พื้นที่ที่เหมาะสมแก่การอนุรักษ์การเพาะปลูกอ้อยมากที่สุดอยู่ใน อำเภอหนองใหญ่คิดเป็นร้อยละ 20.46 พื้นที่ที่เหมาะสมแก่การอนุรักษ์การเพาะปลูกสับปะรดมาก ที่สุดอยู่ในอำเภอหนองใหญ่คิดเป็นร้อยละ 20.46 ซึ่งพื้นที่ดังกล่าวควรกำหนดไว้ให้เป็นพื้นที่ใช้เพื่อ การเกษตรเท่านั้น และควรเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพให้มีผลผลิตที่สูงขึ้น โดยการเพาะปลูกพืชให้เหมาะสมกับสภาพของดิน หรือกลุ่มชุดดินในพื้นที่ รวมถึงการอนุรักษ์ดินและน้ำให้เหมาะสมกับการเพาะปลูก ส่วนพื้นที่ที่มีเกษตรกรรมโดดเด่น หรือการเพาะปลูกโดดเด่น เช่น พื้นที่อำเภอ พนัสนิคมและอำเภอพานทอง เป็นพื้นที่ที่มีชื่อเสียงในการเพาะปลูกข้าว อำเภอศรีราชา มีพื้นที่ เพาะปลูกสับปะรด ซึ่งพื้นที่เหล่านี้ควรมีการควบคุมดูแลให้พื้นที่ที่มีการเพาะปลูกพืชเศรษฐกิจ โดดเด่น ไม่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ส่งผลต่อกลุ่มชุดดินหรือที่ดินที่เหมาะสมแก่การอนุรักษ์ไปใช้นอก ภาคการเพาะปลูก โดยมิให้มีการเปลี่ยนเป็นพื้นที่นิคมอุตสาหกรรม หมู่บ้านจัดสรร ซึ่งจะส่งผล กระทบต่อดิน และกลุ่มชุดดินให้มีการเสื่อมสภาพและเปลี่ยนแปลงไป
