Abstract:
The objectives of this independent study are as followed: (1) To study operational approach of NOF Company (2) To study the problems that occur in the production process, and (3) To find the way to develop the operational approach of NOF and production process. The data was collected from general manager, head of human resource department, production supervisor, purchasing manager, and head of delivery.
The results showed that the majority product of NOF is peeled Vannamei. The majority customer is food processing plant for exporting in Europe and America. NOF Company uses word of mouth for marketing and connects with the customer directly. The company focuses on raw material. NOF uses only fresh and inspection control shrimp.
The results showed that NOF has two main production process problems. First problem is lack of raw material for some seasons. Second problem is lack of labor for sometimes.
The result showed that the strengths of NOF are as followed: (1) The company can control the quality of shrimp from the farm until the final production process. (2) The company has good skilled labor to produce the product that customer satisfied. (3) The company has a lot of loyal customers. The weaknesses of NOF are lack of raw material and labor for sometimes. The opportunities are Thailand has good potentiality for shrimp production and the marine shrimp farming is increasing. The threat of NOF is trade barriers of Europe and America.
