Abstract: การวิจัยนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อประยุกต์ใช้สารสกัดหมากในบีบีคุชชั่น โดยทำการพัฒนาตำรับพื้นแบบอิมัลชั่นชนิดน้ำในซิลิโคน+น้ำมัน พบว่าปริมาณ cyclopentasiloxane (and) PEG/PPG-20/15 dimethicone และ PEG10-dimethicone ร้อยละ 1 และ 2 ตามลำดับ ช่วยให้ผลิตภัณฑ์มีความคงตัวและไม่เกิดการแยกชั้น ทำการเพิ่มความคงตัวในสูตรโดยใช้ dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer (and) silica ที่ร้อยละ 1 และใช้ Titanium dioxide ชนิด nanosilk ที่ร้อยละ 6 เพื่อให้การปกปิดที่ดีแบบเป็นธรรมชาติ ไม่ขาววอก นอกจากนี้เลือกใช้ซิลิโคน 4 ชนิด คือ cyclopentasiloxane ร้อยละ 13, dimethicone ร้อยละ 2, phenyl trimethicone ร้อยละ 5 และ cyclopentasiloxane (and) dimethicone crosspolymer ร้อยละ 5% ทำให้ตำรับมีเนื้อสัมผัสที่นุ่ม ลื่น เกลี่ยง่าย ไม่มัน การประยุกต์ใช้สารสกัดจากหมากในตำรับบีบีคุชชั่น พบว่าตำรับที่มีสารสกัดหมากร้อยละ 1 ให้สีที่ใกล้เคียงกับสูตรตำรับพื้นบีบีคุชชั่นและมีความคงตัว การทดสอบการป้องกันแสงแดดของผลิตภัณฑ์บีบีคุชชั่นที่มีสารสกัดหมากร้อยละ 1 มีค่า SPF เพิ่มขึ้น เท่ากับ 159.96 ± 9.94 ซึ่งมากกว่าตำรับพื้น 7.23 เท่า และค่าการป้องกันรังสี UVA ที่ระดับ PA++ การประเมินความพึงพอใจในอาสาสมัคร 30 คน ของผลิตภัณฑ์บีบีคุชชั่น พบว่า มีความพึงพอใจโดยรวม ในระดับพึงพอใจมาก ซึ่งให้ผลที่ไม่แตกต่างจากบีบีคุชชั่นทางการค้า ดังนั้น สารสกัดหมากสามารถประยุกต์ใช้ในผลิตภัณฑ์บีบีคุชชั่นที่สามารถพัฒนาในเชิงการค้าต่อไปในอนาคต

Abstract: This study was aimed to apply betel nut (Areca Catechu Linn.) extract in blemish balm (BB) cushion. Formulation of W/Si+O emulsion base was performed. The base containing 1% w/w cyclopentasiloxane (and) PEG/PPG-20/15 dimethicone and 2% w/w PEG10 dimethicone made product more stable without phase separation. Furthermore, 1% w/w dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer (and) silica and 6% w/w Titanium dioxide (nanosilk) can improve stability and coverage effect, respectively. Four types of silicone were added to the formula, including 13% w/w cyclopentasiloxane, 2% w/w dimethicone, 5% w/w phenyl trimethicone and 5% w/w cyclopentasiloxane (and) dimethicone crosspolymer. They were proven to improve texture and sensation of the product. The presence of 1% w/w betel nut extract in BB cushion had no effect on color change without phase separation. The BB cushion added with betel nut extract increased SPF value more than 7.23 folds with PA+++. Moreover, satisfaction study on 30 volunteers revealed that the BB cushion was satisfied which was equal to the commercial product. Therefore, betel nut extract can be applied in BB product that can be further expanded to commercial system.
