The Preparedness of teacher at Bangbo Witthayakhom school for the third round of External Quality assessment of the office for National education standards and quality Assessment (Public Organization)
Abstract:
This research aimed at the preparedness of teacher at Bangbo Witthayakhom School for the third round of external quality assessment of the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (Public Organization), and comparison their gender, education level and year of work in the documentation each indicator. The population in this study comprised 111 teachers at Bangbo Witthayakhom School, Bangbo district, Samutprakan province, in the year 2011. A questionnaire was a research tool. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The research results revealed that mosts of teachers are female (69.40%), hold Bachelor degree (90.10%), and had 1-10 years of working experience (65.80%). They had knowledge with the third round of external quality assessment at least 50% (= 92.60%) as a whole which corresponded with the hypothesis. Considering each item, it was found that 3 items were at the highest level: item 2-using of 3 years of previous data (2551, 2552, 2553) = 87.40%; item 27, 5th indicator-learning achievement = 86.50%; and item 7-reduction of number of indicators = 85.60%. The preparedness of the teachers in an overall was at a high level (µ = 4.35, = 0.23), which corresponded with the hypothesis. Considering each item, it was found that the teacher had the highest readiness on item 9-reporting on activities outside of school in the Arts/Music/Dramatics/Literary works (µ = 4.54, = 0.73). Comparison of their preparedness on document of each indicator for the third round of external quality assessment, classified by their gender, education level and years of work were not significant different, which rejected the hypothesis.
